Equipment

  • 1 9-inch square baking pan
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Electric mixer
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Grater

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 16 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounce white chocolate shaved

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a mixing bowl until well blended.
  • Press the crumb mixture evenly onto the bottom of the 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Add maple syrup, 1/4 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and mix until fully combined.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing just until incorporated.
  • Stir in the sour cream until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust in the baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the center is set.
  • Allow the cheesecake to cool in the pan on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  • Before serving, sprinkle with shaved white chocolate.

Notes

For best results, ensure that the cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing to achieve a smooth batter. When pressing the crust into the pan, use the back of a spoon to create an even layer. If you don't have a grater for the white chocolate, a vegetable peeler can be used as an alternative to create elegant shavings.
