Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 set of measuring spoons
  • 1 spatula or tongs

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork chops bone-in
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • Pat dry the pork chops with paper towels.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine salt, black pepper, cumin, chili powder, paprika, and garlic powder.
  • Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the pork chops and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

To ensure the pork chops are juicy and flavorful, avoid overcooking them and use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Also, allowing the pork chops to rest for a few minutes after cooking helps redistribute the juices throughout the meat, enhancing its tenderness and taste.
