  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 10.5 oz Cream of mushroom soup 1 can
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Sear the pork chops in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and water.
  • Pour the mushroom soup mixture over the onions and garlic in the skillet.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce.
  • Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low, simmer for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

To enhance the flavor, try adding a splash of white wine to the sauce before simmering. If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can reduce the amount of water or let the sauce simmer uncovered for a few minutes. For a complete meal, serve the pork chops over mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the delicious mushroom sauce.
