  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 8x8-inch baking pan
  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Measuring cups set
  • 1 Measuring spoons set
  • 1 Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 3/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 12 Oreo cookies roughly chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt, and whisk until well combined.
  • Mix in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  • Gradually add all-purpose flour and baking powder, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped Oreo cookies gently with a spatula.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality cocoa powder for a rich chocolate flavor. Ensure the brownies are not overbaked by checking with a toothpick slightly before the baking time is up. The addition of extra Oreo cookies on top before baking can add a delightful crunch.
