Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cup pancake mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, pancake mix, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, maple syrup, salt, and black pepper.
  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly until a dough-like consistency is achieved.
  • Using your hands, form the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  • Arrange the sausage balls on a baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  • Bake the sausage balls in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

To ensure the sausage balls stay moist, do not overmix the ingredients. Additionally, you can experiment by adding different types of cheese or herbs to customize the flavor to your liking. If you prefer a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
