Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 9x13 inch baking dish
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 9 lasagna noodles cooked
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add ground beef, salt, and pepper, cooking until the beef is browned.
  • Stir in marinara sauce and remove from heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, and garlic powder.
  • Layer 3 lasagna noodles in the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  • Sprinkle half of the bacon and half of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.
  • Pour half of the beef mixture over the cheese layer.
  • Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients, ending with mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Whisk heavy cream with a little salt and pour evenly over the lasagna.
  • Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
  • Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure that the lasagna noodles are cooked al dente to avoid mushy layers. If you have time, let the lasagna rest longer before cutting to allow the layers to set and create cleaner slices. Customize the dish by adding your favorite burger toppings, such as pickles or sautéed mushrooms, in the layers for a personal twist.
