Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups sliced peaches fresh or canned
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Pour the melted butter into the baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Pour the batter over the melted butter without stirring.
  • Arrange sliced peaches on top of the batter.
  • Sprinkle ground cinnamon and brown sugar evenly over the peaches.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Allow the cake to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

To ensure the best flavor, use ripe peaches for a juicy and sweet filling. If using canned peaches, drain them well before adding to the batter.
