Ingredients
  

  • 5 cup sliced plums
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sliced plums with 1/2 cup of sugar and lemon juice.
  • Transfer the plum mixture into a baking dish and spread evenly.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
  • Pour the batter over the plum mixture in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
