  • 1 spatula or tongs
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Knife

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear them for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and remove the pork chops from the skillet.
  • In the same skillet, add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Stir the mixture until well combined and smooth.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet and cover them with the mushroom sauce.
  • Cover the skillet with a lid and let the pork chops simmer for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

To ensure the pork chops are tender and flavorful, don't overcook them. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F. Feel free to add sliced mushrooms or onions to the sauce for added texture and flavor. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the delicious sauce.
