  • 1 Ladle
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Chef's knife
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 Wooden spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups potatoes cubed
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add diced onion, celery, and carrots to the pot and sauté until tender.
  • Stir in cubed potatoes and chicken broth, bringing to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a thicker chowder, you can mash some of the potatoes directly in the pot before adding the cream. Additionally, feel free to experiment with adding bacon bits or corn for extra flavor and texture. Be sure to taste and adjust seasoning as needed for optimal flavor.
