Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 measuring spoon set
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Oven

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups Ritz crackers crushed
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Ritz crackers, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  • Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, ensuring it's well-coated.
  • Press the chicken into the cracker mixture, coating both sides evenly.
  • Place the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle melted butter evenly over the chicken breasts.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown.
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier crust, you can double coat the chicken by repeating the egg and cracker coating step. If you prefer a spicier flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cracker mixture. To ensure the chicken cooks evenly, pound the breasts to an even thickness before coating. Always check the internal temperature of the chicken to ensure it reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
