Ingredients
  

  • 4 Medium Korean Sweet Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Honey optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a towel.
  • Cut the sweet potatoes into halves lengthwise.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the sweet potatoes in a mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle sea salt and black pepper over the sweet potatoes.
  • Toss the sweet potatoes in the bowl to ensure they are evenly coated with oil and seasonings.
  • Arrange the sweet potato halves on the parchment-lined baking sheet with the cut side facing down.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Optionally, drizzle honey over the sweet potatoes before serving for added sweetness.

Notes

For optimal results, choose firm and blemish-free Korean sweet potatoes. These potatoes are naturally sweet, so they pair beautifully with savory or sweet toppings. Adjust the cooking time as needed depending on the size of your sweet potatoes, and for even cooking, try to select sweet potatoes that are similar in size.
