Equipment

  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 Rice Cooker
  • 1 Chef's knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Salmon Fillets
  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Lemon sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Dill chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic minced

Instructions

  • Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  • Place the rice and water into the rice cooker and start the cooking process.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  • Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon fillets and cook for another 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.
  • Drizzle the soy sauce over the cooked rice and mix in the fresh dill.
  • Serve the salmon fillets over the rice, garnished with lemon slices.

Notes

For optimal results, ensure that the skillet is adequately preheated before adding the salmon to prevent sticking. If available, use a non-stick skillet for easier cooking. Allow the salmon to rest after cooking to help it retain its juices, resulting in a more flavorful and moist texture. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preference, and consider adding a dash of chili flakes for a hint of spice.
