Equipment

  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 plate

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 4 slices cheese
  • 4 slices deli turkey or ham
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 cup lettuce shredded
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  • Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet.
  • Layer each slice with cheese, deli meat, tomato, and lettuce.
  • Spread mayonnaise on the unbuttered side of the remaining bread slices.
  • Place them mayonnaise side down on top of the layered ingredients.
  • Cook until the bread is golden brown on one side, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip with the spatula and cook the other side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from skillet, cut in half, and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best results, ensure your skillet is preheated and not too hot to avoid burning the bread. Use fresh ingredients, and feel free to customize with your favorite deli meats or cheeses. If you prefer a crispier sandwich, press down slightly with the spatula while cooking.
