Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 colander
  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 200 grams pasta shells
  • 250 grams shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 150 grams crab meat cooked
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup celery diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup black olives sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the pasta shells in the boiling water until al dente, about 8 minutes.
  • Drain the pasta using a colander and rinse under cold water to cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add the cooled pasta, shrimp, crab meat, cherry tomatoes, celery, red onion, black olives, and parsley to the dressing.
  • Toss everything gently with a wooden spoon until well combined.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.
  • Stir the salad before serving and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of smoked paprika or a dash of hot sauce to the dressing. Be sure to taste and adjust the seasoning as needed after the salad has rested, as chilling can mute some flavors. If preferred, you can substitute the shrimp or crab with other seafood like scallops or lobster.
