Equipment

  • 1 slow cooker
  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 Pork Chops bone-in
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the pork chops on both sides.
  • Transfer the pork chops to the slow cooker.
  • Add the sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the pork chops.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and paprika.
  • Pour the mixture over the pork chops and onions in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours until the pork chops are tender.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
  • Stir the slurry and heavy cream into the slow cooker and cook for an additional 10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sear the pork chops until they are golden brown before placing them in the slow cooker. You can customize the sauce by adding your favorite herbs or spices to suit your taste. Ensure the pork chops are fully submerged in the liquid for even cooking, and if necessary, add more broth.
