Equipment

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 toaster
  • 1 Small bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 slices whole-grain bread
  • 200 grams smoked salmon
  • 4 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon capers drained
  • 1/2 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges

Instructions

  • Toast the slices of whole-grain bread until golden brown.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese on each slice of bread.
  • Layer 100 grams of smoked salmon on two of the bread slices.
  • Sprinkle capers evenly over the salmon.
  • Distribute red onion slices over the capers.
  • Garnish with fresh dill on top.
  • Cover each assembled sandwich with the remaining slices of bread.
  • Cut each sandwich in half and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For best results, ensure the smoked salmon is of high quality and fresh. Adjust the amount of cream cheese to your taste preference, and consider adding a touch of black pepper for an extra kick. If you prefer a less sharp onion flavor, soak the onion slices in cold water for a few minutes before adding them to the sandwich.
