Soup and Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 cup carrots diced
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slice bread
  • 8 slice cheese
  • 8 slice deli turkey
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add carrots, celery, and onion to the pot and sauté until softened.
  • Pour in vegetable broth and water, then bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and let the soup simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
  • While the soup is simmering, butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • Place 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of turkey between two slices of bread, buttered sides out.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and grill each sandwich until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Let the sandwiches rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve the soup in bowls with a ladle alongside the sandwiches on plates.

Notes

To enhance the flavor of your soup, consider adding herbs like thyme or parsley during the simmering process. For a heartier sandwich, add some slices of tomato or a few leaves of spinach. Make sure to adjust the seasoning to your liking before serving. Enjoy your meal hot for the best experience!
