Ingredients
  

  • 2 pound apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chopped
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 package pie crusts 2 crusts
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out one pie crust and place it in the pie pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, lemon juice, and flour.
  • Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust in the pan.
  • Sprinkle the chopped white chocolate evenly over the apple mixture.
  • Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
  • Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling.
  • Trim and crimp the edges to seal the pie crusts together.
  • Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  • In a small bowl, mix the beaten egg with milk and brush it over the top crust.
  • Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a cooling rack for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a mix of sweet and tart apples to add depth of flavor to the pie. Ensure that the white chocolate is evenly distributed for a consistent melting effect throughout the pie. Adjust the spice levels to your taste preference, and consider serving with vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
