Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 9x9 inch baking pan
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Oven
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 Wire rack

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled brownies and let them rest for 1 hour until the chocolate is set.
  • Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For best results, ensure your pumpkin puree is smooth and well-drained to avoid excess moisture in the brownies. Adjust the spices to your taste preference, and feel free to add a pinch more cinnamon or nutmeg for extra warmth. When melting the white chocolate, be careful not to overheat it, as it can seize up.
