Equipment

  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Donut pan
  • 1 Piping bag or ziplock bag
  • 1 Cooling rack
  • 1 Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Whole milk
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 Large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Strawberry puree for glaze

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine milk, yogurt, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped strawberries gently.
  • Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe into the prepared donut pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  • Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  • Mix powdered sugar and strawberry puree to make the glaze.
  • Once cooled, dip the top of each donut into the glaze.

Notes

For best results, use fresh strawberries for a more vibrant flavor and color. Ensure that the batter is not overmixed to keep the donuts light and fluffy. If you don't have a donut pan, you can use a muffin tin and make donut holes instead.
