Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 4 Plates

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 8 slices Brioche bread
  • 2 cups Strawberries sliced
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on four slices of brioche bread.
  • Layer sliced strawberries over the cream cheese mixture, then top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches.
  • In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat until melted.
  • Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated.
  • Place the sandwiches in the frying pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and let rest for 5 minutes.
  • Serve the French toast warm with a drizzle of maple syrup on top.

Notes

For best results, use day-old brioche bread as it absorbs the egg mixture better without becoming too soggy. Feel free to add a dash of nutmeg to the egg mixture for extra warmth and flavor.
