Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups strawberries hulled and halved
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Place the strawberries in a large pot.
  • Add the granulated sugar and lemon juice to the pot.
  • Use a potato masher to crush the strawberries slightly.
  • Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
  • Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, and continue to stir.
  • Boil for 15-20 minutes until the mixture reaches the setting point.
  • Remove the pot from heat and skim off any foam.
  • Use a ladle to pour the hot jam into sterilized glass jars.
  • Seal the jars with lids and let them cool to room temperature.
  • Allow the jam to rest for 12 hours before using.
