Equipment

  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 oven-safe baking dish
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 pair of tongs

Ingredients

  • 4 large pork chops bone-in
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Use a sharp knife to make a pocket in each pork chop without cutting all the way through.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stuff each pork chop with the breadcrumb mixture and secure with toothpicks if needed.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear the stuffed pork chops in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
  • Transfer the pork chops to an oven-safe baking dish.
  • Pour chicken broth into the baking dish around the pork chops.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the pork is cooked through.
  • Let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

To ensure the pork chops remain juicy, avoid overcooking them by using a meat thermometer and aiming for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Feel free to customize the stuffing by adding ingredients like chopped apples or walnuts for additional flavor and texture.
