Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Parchment paper
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 500 grams salmon fillet cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 30 ml mirin
  • 30 ml sake
  • 15 grams honey
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, honey, garlic, and ginger.
  • Add salmon pieces to the bowl and coat them well with the marinade.
  • Arrange the salmon pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let the salmon bites rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh salmon fillets and ensure they are evenly coated with the marinade to maximize flavor. If you prefer a sweeter glaze, you can increase the honey by a tablespoon. Keep an eye on the salmon while baking to prevent overcooking, as this can dry out the fish.
