Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices whole wheat bread
  • 8 ounces sliced turkey breast
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Toast the slices of whole wheat bread until golden.
  • Spread mayonnaise and mustard evenly on one side of each toasted bread slice.
  • Place two slices of cheddar cheese on two of the bread slices.
  • Layer sliced turkey breast evenly over the cheese on each sandwich.
  • Add tomato slices and romaine lettuce leaves on top of the turkey.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of salt and black pepper on the tomato slices.
  • Top with the remaining bread slices, mayonnaise side down.
  • Use a knife to cut each sandwich diagonally in half.
  • Serve immediately on a plate.

Notes

For the best results, ensure all ingredients are fresh and the turkey is thinly sliced. If you prefer a warm sandwich, you can briefly grill it on a skillet after assembling. Adjust the ingredients to taste, adding more or less mayonnaise and mustard based on your preference.
