Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground turkey sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the milk, garlic powder, and onion powder to the sausage mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let the sausage balls rest for 5 minutes on a cooling rack before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or paprika to the mixture. If the mixture is too sticky to handle, lightly oil your hands or use a small ice cream scoop for easier shaping. These sausage balls can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before baking. Additionally, you can freeze the unbaked sausage balls and bake them directly from the freezer, just adjust the baking time slightly.
