  • 1 pair of tongs
  • 1 Meat thermometer
  • 1 Basting brush

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine fish sauce, soy sauce, honey, vegetable oil, garlic, black pepper, sugar, lime juice, water, sesame oil, and chili flakes.
  • Place the pork chops in the marinade and coat them well.
  • Let the pork chops marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the pork chops from the marinade and place them on the grill.
  • Grill the pork chops for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  • Use a basting brush to apply leftover marinade on the pork chops while grilling.
  • Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

To ensure the pork chops are juicy and flavorful, do not skip the resting period after grilling, as this allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat. Additionally, using a meat thermometer is crucial to avoid overcooking, ensuring the pork stays tender and delicious. Adjust the amount of chili flakes based on your spice preference.
